Create QR Code Menu Card

QR menus have become a staple in restaurants since the COVID era. However, most solutions rely on expensive SaaS platforms with monthly fees, data dependencies, and tracking. BlueChilliesQR takes a different approach: Create a fully standalone HTML file that you host yourself — free, GDPR-compliant, and independent from third parties.

How to create your digital menu

  1. Open the Menu Card Generator and enter your restaurant details (name, address, hours, logo).
  2. Create categories (e.g. Starters, Mains, Desserts) and add dishes with prices, descriptions, and EU allergens.
  3. Choose a design template, customize colors and fonts.
  4. Download the HTML file and host it on your website, Netlify, or GitHub Pages. Then generate a QR code for the URL in the QR tab.

Benefits over SaaS platforms

  • No monthly costs — create once, use forever
  • GDPR-compliant — no tracking, no cookies, no data on third-party servers
  • Independence — the HTML file is yours, no provider can shut it down
  • Works offline — the file works without an internet connection
  • Responsive — optimized for smartphones, tablets, and desktop
  • Accessible — semantic HTML, screen reader compatible

EU 14 Allergen Labelling

The generator supports all 14 major EU allergens as per food information regulation. Each dish can be labelled with allergen codes (A–N). The legend is automatically shown in the menu footer.
