What is iQR Code?

Proprietary Denso Wave · 2008

The iQR Code was developed in 2008 by Denso Wave – the same company that invented the original QR code. It can be square or rectangular, is up to 30% more space-efficient than a standard QR code, and supports 61 versions with up to 40,000 digits capacity. It also allows inverted printing (white on black) and placement on cylindrical surfaces.

Why not available?

iQR Code is proprietary technology by Denso Wave and not available as an open standard. There are no freely available libraries or specifications for creating this code type.
